McLanahan was the first manufacturer to offer direct-drive feeder-breakers, by eliminating shear pins that cause nuisance “trips” and problems related to chain and sprocket maintenance. They were also the first manufacturer to incorporate a magnetic coupling in a direct, alignment-free drive. The user-friendly design affords easy access to replaceable components and allows for removal of shaft assemblies in one piece.
